Dr Bosun Hong

Bosun is committed to and experienced in creating a positive experience for people undergoing surgical dental treatment.

After qualifying with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery with Merit in clinical dentistry from Newcastle University, she undertook specialist training in oral surgery as an NIHR Academic Clinical Fellow, culminating in Membership of Oral Surgery in affiliation with the Royal College of Surgeons of England.

Bosun has worked in both hospital and practice settings, and offers a broad range of oral surgery treatments , including but not limited to:

• Complex tooth extraction.
• Exposure and bonding of a chain to impacted teeth to facilitate orthodontic treatment.
• Intravenous sedation.
• Apicectomy.
• Cyst management.
• Soft tissue surgery.

As well as being a skilled clinician, Bosun has a naturally inquisitive mind that extends beyond everyday oral surgery. She seeks to explore ways to accelerate the translation of healthcare innovation into daily clinical practice, aiming to improve implementation at the frontline. She is currently studying this at the master’s level at the University of Oxford.
